JCK Underground’s Matt Over headed to Beech Elementary School to “TALK TUNNELS”, sharing with the students what engineers do, and what having a career in engineering is like. All three of the 1st grade classes were great audiences and asked interesting questions like: “How do you stay cool when you’re so deep inside the Earth?”, “How do you make sure the tunnel can hold up the cars on top?”, & “How do you breathe when you’re down in the tunnel?”.
Matt stated, “It was so rewarding to spend time with the students and see all their excitement and curiosity about what JCK Underground does each and every day to make a difference in our communities. Hopefully this is just the beginning to several future tunneling careers!”
