Los Angeles, CA, March 13, 2017: Michael Kobler, a mining engineer has over 40 years of experience, with extensive knowledge in natural resource development, as well as, the design and construction of large infrastructure projects. He specializes in identifying, acquiring, and producing natural resources and infrastructure developments throughout the world. He has served in a variety of roles for start-up companies including, but not limited to, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, President, Technical Adviser, Engineer and Project Manager.
Most recently, Mr. Kobler is the acting Chief Operating Officer of American Lithium that specializes in the acquisition, exploration, and development of lithium properties in Nevada. Previous to American Lithium, Mike worked as the owner’s representative during construction, on the Central Subway Chinatown Transit Project in San Francisco, the largest underground transit station in North America, from early 2014 thru mid-2016. Key elements performed during that time were the 140-foot deep slurry walls, the 100-foot-deep headhouse, the cavern dewatering system and the compensation grout pre-support.
Start-up companies Mr. Kobler played a major role in founding include, Underground Energy, Inc. in 2007, for conventional oil exploration and production of heavy oil at project locations in California and Nevada; OSUM Oil Sands, Inc. in 2005, a private company in Alberta Canada involved in oil sands exploration and development by conventional methods; and Underground Construction Managers (UCM) in 1993, a specialized underground engineering company. During its 20 years, UCM managed the design, permitting, and construction of numerous heavy civil, mine development and dewatering projects worldwide.
Mike also holds numerous granted mining, tunneling and process patents.
