VIRGINIA: JCK Underground is excited to announce the appointment of Eric Evans as a Tunnel Inspector based in Virginia. Eric has more than 20 years of experience in the tunnel construction industry. His experience includes both soft ground tunneling and rock tunneling, and working with all aspects of construction management, quality control and assurance for mass concrete placements, cast-in-place concrete operations in tunnels including formwork, reinforcement, fiber reinforced shotcrete application, water-proofing, pumping, placement, curing, and finishing.
Eric has worked on a number of tunneling projects including Northeast Boundary Tunnel, Washington DC, Moffat Tunnel Rehabilitation, Boulder, CO, and a series of tunnel projects in West Virginia including the National Gateway Clearance Improvement Phase II, National Gateway Clearance and Heartland Corridor Clearance projects.
Eric will support JCK Underground as a Tunnel Inspector on the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel project as part of the construction management team.
